Different Type Of Properties That Could Benefit From Aerial Real Estate Videography

More and more real estate agents are becoming interested in using aerial videography for their high-end listings. It gives them the advantage of making unknown communities or properties into escrow. Using aerial videography can help them in their listing by showing potential users the surrounding area of their property as well as giving the property unique angles that cannot be captured in photographs from the ground. Aerial videography is not at all as easy or cheap as taking photographs of the properties; it could take several hours just to learn to pilot the drone or couple hundred dollars to hire an aerial videographer. This means that aerial videography is not just for every type of properties, but there are certain types that could definitely benefit greatly from aerial real estate videography and definitely should use it when listing for sale. So here is the list of the types of properties that could benefit from aerial real estate videography:

1. Luxury Residential Homes

When selling beautiful homes with large surrounding land, aerial videography is almost always a must. Aerial videography can better show the overall design of the entire house’s exterior designs and the house’s neighborhood. One of the biggest problems in getting a great view of the luxury homes is that it is impossible to get a shot of the entire home from the ground. Most sellers settle for just showing photos and videos of the main parts of the home, but showing just a couple photos of the home on a listing never does the property any justice. Aerial videography helps potential buyers the opportunity to see the homes in a new angle, overview of the entire property and even its surrounding areas. It could also potentially drive prices and number of interested buyers higher than just providing photographs.

2. Resorts

Having aerial shots of the resort and its outdoor amenities on the resort’s website could help attract more visitors to stay at that resort over the next. Pictures do not always capture the beauty and size of the resorts. Visitors want to see and try to imagine what it would be like if they choose to stay at a certain resort, so having aerial videography is a great way to show off all the bang for buck. Visitors want to see what they are going to be paying for and sometimes photos and regular videos are just not enough. There could be hundreds of photos on a resort’s website that display the bedrooms, pools, amenities, lobby, etc., but the layout of the resort itself is extremely hard to capture in photographs. Giving potential visitors a full and accurate view and virtual tour from an aerial view of the resort can help them have a better feel for the place and could help drive up likeliness of sales.

3. Properties Near Great Landmarks and Neighborhoods

Showing potential buyers the surrounding landscape of real estate property can really draw their interests. For instance, if the buyer just comes to see the property, he/she may only see the landscapes and landmarks that are directly surrounding the property, like the neighborhood; however, aerial videography can show potential buyers the opportunity to see the property in more exciting ways than one, like a nearby shopping center or a small park. This is especially true if the property building itself is not that great and/or is just mediocre because showing all the great things around it, like a beautiful neighborhood or the proximity to the beach, could help bring potential buyers in for viewings.

4. Farmlands

Pictures of plain old land and fields are the most unexciting things to see in real estate property. There is just a lot of grass—that’s it with maybe a herd of cows in the background. There really is not a way to advertise land in esthetic ways except through aerial videography. Aerial videography can turn boring pictures of farmlands into beautiful open spaces near great neighborhoods and/or landmarks on which buildings can be built. Showing the surrounding area can help potential investors or real estate development companies to have a better idea of what they could construct there. For instance, if it were a farmland near the ocean, perhaps the types of buyers that would be interested in buying are the ones who want to build beach resorts. Potential buyers would want to see the proximity of everything that surrounds the farmland because that could potentially drive the prices of the property that they are building higher or lower.

5. Construction Sites

Sometimes projects fail and people have to sell their construction sites to a new project manager or construction company. In these cases (much like the farmlands), the potential buyer would want to view the construction site in aerial view to see the surrounding landmarks and neighborhood to have a better feel for what they are going to build. For one instance, aerial videography is the best way to portray the progress that has already been made on the construction site because it leaves no details left not captured.

6. Commercial Real Estate

Commercial real estate can really benefit from aerial videography by showing potential buyers an overview of how suitable the property would be to their businesses. For instance, if a buyer was looking to buy a large warehouse for his/her car parts company, then he/she would want to see how large the warehouse is and how close it is to a major highway for faster transportation. In another instance, if a buyer wants to open a dry cleaner in a populated area, he/she would want to see what would be around his/her shop through aerial view, rather than just a photo of a shopping plaza. It helps them to envision what sorts of customers they will attract depending on the looks of the neighborhood and location.
